Chinese American lawyer helping Jiangsu enterprises operate in US
Born in Nanjing, Jiangsu, Michael Jun Zhang graduated with a law degree from Brigham Young University in the United States and is now a barrister in the Federal Supreme Court of the United States.
Zhang flew to Nanjing from Los Angeles on May 17, three days before the opening of Jiangsu Development Summit.
"As a lawyer, especially a Chinese American lawyer, my duty is to take up the legal weapons in the US to fully protect the legitimate interests of Chinese enterprises in the US," Zhang said.
"I was born in Nanjing and grew up in Nanjing. I have been overseas these years, but I have been paying attention to important news about Nanjing and Jiangsu all the time."
Zhang opened a law firm in Los Angeles in 1997 to help many Jiangsu enterprises protect their rights in the foreign country. He hoped to share his experiences at the conference, and give some inspiration to enterprises planning to expand overseas.
